Who will fill GM role in NA$CAR now that they have relaized chapter 11 is on way to survive?

I always believed Chevy ( or some GM car like the old days) should be big in stock car racing and now that GM realizes that chapter 11 can keep them alive buy dumping UAW which will make them competitive , Chevy may be able to be a force in long term. You can say what you want about Toyota but they are doing better in US than Chevy and this decision by GM will allow them to be competitive again

Buying cheap stocks which company is under chapter 11 protectin and restructuring would be good idea?

I want buy basement price beaten stocks which is under chapter 11 and restructuring and hold for a while to see company come back. Stock is currently trading at 0.11 cent on Nasdaq.

Can they withhold vacation pay because they are in chapter 11?

I was let go of a company that is in chapter 11. In our handbooks it states "if termination of emplyment is voluntarily or involuntarily, they will receive pay for all unused and earned vacatoin leave" When I was let go they told me that I may or may not get my vacation money. It’s up to the courts to decide. Is this right? I thought that wages and other items like it were first in the courts eyes?

Why can’t GM, Ford and Chrysler simply file Chapter 11 and restructure like other bankrupt companies?

Why do they need to be "saved" from their own bad decisions? Why not file Chapter 11, fix their cost structure and have a fighting chance at becoming competitive?

It seems unfair when a company files chapter 11 they only have to pay back a portion of what they owe to creditors. is this true and how many time can you file bankruptcy until they say you can’t?

What happens with the existing stocks of companies emerging from Chapter 11?

Stock symbols get a Q behind the name and are traded at extremely low levels. Are new stocks issued when the company emerges from Chapter 11, or are these same ones being traded and renamed back again?

Can you open a bank account if filing chapter 11 bankruptcy? If so where?

I have a client seeming to be in a pinch, filing chapter 11 Bankruptcy and the debtor is requesting all account and policies to be reissue with the US attorneys office listed, once the client notified the bank they shut her down. she has to show proof of the changes but without a bank account she cannot initiate the down payments etc. most of the companies do not accept money orders due to a monthly draft needed to be set up. What could she do? Is there a bank that’ll take her?
