If the company you work for goes bankrupt, what happens to you, a regular 'ole store associate?
I work at RiteAid and rumor is that RiteAid is going bankrupt. I checked their stock and it’s only worth $.99! I’m worried because I worked so hard to get this job and I’m wondering what’ll happen to the rest of us [I'm a cashier] if RiteAid goes bankrupt?

It really depends on what happens to the company in bankruptcy. I highly doubt that RiteAid would go entirely bankrupt and out of business. They would find some way to continue operating – maybe they would need to close *some* stores, but not all of them.
If it were that bad, then maybe they would sell out to another company like Walgreens or another retailer. In that case you still would be okay for at least the short term.
Being one of the more basic employees, I wouldn’t worry *too* much – I highly doubt that a store would just close out of the blue. If you think that it is a real possibility that your store would close, start applying at other places.
6 months unemployment after that you have to look for another job. sorry to hear about that.
