If I have filed a chapter 13 can I move out of state and get a new lawyer in the state I'm moving to?

Can I move to another state and have another lawyer take on my case if I have already filed a Chapter 13 in Pennsylvania? Do I have to continue my court case in the same state? Am I committed to stay in Pennsylvania until the case is done? Or can I move to Colorado at any time and take care of the Chapter 13 in Colorado with another lawyer?

Can a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy be converted to a chapter 11?

The trustee will not confirm our Chapter 13 BK because we have too much debt per the guidelines for a 13. We were self employed but aren’t any longer, but the majority of the debt is from our previous business.

We are having a discussion here and we were talking about chapter 7 and chapter 13. My friend says that there is no limit on how often a chapter 13 can be filed.

Can you file chapter 7 bankruptcy if you have NO assets to liquidate?

I’ve heard that chapter 7 is a "liquidation of assets" and chapter 13 is a "reorganization of debt".

I don’t own anything except a computer, two old TVs. Can they take that?

Have lots of debt. Would like to file chapter 7. Can I or will they make me file chapter 13? What are the QUALIFICATIONS or REQUIREMENTS?

What if a person put a value on their assets on the bankruptcy forms and the property is in no way worth that?

I know someone who just declared Chapter 13. They say property and business is Worth one figure but there is no way it is worth that now. Does the trustee get appraisals.

We are filing chapter 13 bankruptcy and do not wish to keep our home. How can we do this successfully?

Please give suggestions on allowing our home to go through foreclosure or other means during our Chapter 13 process. It has become very apparent that we are unable to afford it and is part of our total money outlay problem. Not sure we can sell this property and get out from underneath the total payoff amount.

Also, what would happen if we sold the home for less than the payoff? Is foreclosue an option. Sounds painful. Need and appreciate all help with this situation.

How long did it take you to get your Chapter 13 discharge after you paid off your plan?

How long after you paid off your Chapter 13 plan did you receive your discharge letter? Have you heard of creditors objecting to a Chapter 13 discharge? How often does that happen, and for what reasons?
