What is the original source for this Eisenhower quote? We will bankrupt ourselves in the vain search for abs
I am looking for the original source of the following quote that is often attributed to Dwight D. Eisenhower.
"We will bankrupt ourselves in the vain search for absolute security."
I am looking for a citation from the original article, speech, book, letter or similar.
I’ve exhausted my web searching capabilities and have been unable to find the origination of this quotation.
Thanks
I should hve been more specific in my original question, but I have thoroughly checked all of his major speeches, including the farewell address, that are posted online.

I found the quote on the page below but there is no background that I can find. If you can contact someone at the site it may be available that way.

Go all the way to the bottom of the page and it is about 10th from the bottom.
Good luck, I don’t envy you the task…
A web search may point you to a book which will have the info.
Try and find his "Departing Speech" from the White House…
He also said in that Speech…
"Be very wary of the Military Industrial Complex" !!!!
Enter "Eisenhower’s Farewell Address to the Nation" into your search engine and see. I believe it is from that speech which is better known for his coining the phrase "military-industrial complex".
