What should I do if I bought an extension warranty, that I need to use, from a company that is now bankrupt?

Hello,

Just over a year and a half ago I bought a 52" Samsung LCD television set. With it, I also purchased a 5 year extension warranty from Circuit City. As many of you already know, Circuit City has since gone bankrupt, my television set has since broken down and the service telephone line for my extension warranty is now nonexistent. My question is, what should do in this situation? Is there anyone I can go to that would honor my warranty? Thank You.

  • Common Sense says:

Read your warranty. It’s administered by another company and you should contact them for service.

the contract has been breached by virtue of the bankruptcy; suggest u check with MANUFACTURER to attempt warranty extention, u will not be alone !!
